
I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at University of Maryland, College Park. and a Research Assistant with India Human Development Survey
Broadly, my research is in the area of social stratification, family demography and the sociology of development. Specifically, I am interested in the issues of income inequality and caste and religious networks, marriage, family structure and labour market. I combine econometric methodology with Sociological theory to study topics that are relevant to both economists and sociologists.
My previous training is in the field of Economics and I have a diverse experience in research, data analysis and project management from corporate, government and developmental sectors.
